We sure could use a distinctly American twist on the financial affairs of our time. These days we are hard-pressed to find thinking in tune with our nation's heritage, as well as sensitive to the sanctity of institutions shaping our constitutional republic. That is why you will not see me speaking about "the government," but rather "our government." Being a citizen of the United States not only affords incredible freedom, but great opportunity to exert the power of ideas venturing to secure the freedoms we cherish.
Finance is one area over which our power is constitutionally sanctioned. Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution giving Congress authority to coin money (i.e. issue credit) presents knowledgeable citizens a noble cause for positively influencing the direction finance takes here in the United States, as well as throughout the world.
When arrangements become onerous (such as is true today) Americans ought not resign to a "there's nothing we can do about it" mentality. We should instead speak out. That is why I invite you to get in the spin. Let your thoughts be known. Make comment with honorable intention, so you might be heard and respected. Think about sharing your thoughts, too, with your elected representatives, both in the House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate.
Take hold of power over the financial affairs of the still great United States. Get in the spin...
