A Quacking Chief of Staff Pleasantly Debated

Pondering how a desirable authority might be tragically compromised.

This little bit simply is an opportunity to think about something you normally would not ponder, wondering whether a President's Chief of Staff is a useful gateway to our elected leader.

Surely, no man is an island. Yet Chief of Staff in the political realm holds a great deal of power for an unelected official. Curiously enough this position is a relatively recent addition to the Executive branch. Has there been an effective President since? (Spare me the debt junkies...)
