The Game Rigged With Seditious Smokescreens

The irrational crowd that brought systemic crisis remains insane.

The sun also rises, and the sun goes down,
And hastens to the place where it arose.

The question raised in the following piece discussing whether "the game is rigged" simply is ridiculous when you consider how easily stock market risk can be managed...

Can you feel the vulnerability of the woefully-too-leveraged crowd? About this investor uncertainty over government policy, now how did this originate? Whose unwillingness to be properly regulated was repeated ad infinitum over decades? Who sold the Congress assurances of efficiencies to be gained in a securities-based financial system with its risk mitigation facilitated via derivatives? Our government is a problem only to the degree we muddle in belief financial structures built over recent decades can be backstopped and sustained. The casino built by a crowd whose argument weakened sovereign government finds this same crowd, with today's argument, venturing to promote the same.
