The Human Cost of Government Servile to Finance

Food safety: a systemic crisis

I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey;
I have drunk my wine with my milk.

Song of Solomon

How does one not conclude his or her government is weak and inept when problems affecting the safety of food continue popping up?

So, why are threats to the safety of food we consume occurring with increasing frequency? Surely, this is a reflection of a physical breakdown crisis precipitated by a profound misallocation of capital throughout the economy. When you hear of "imbalance" and "mispriced risk," think of problems affecting food safety and you will begin fathoming the consequences.
